This young singer was born in Santa Coloma de Gramanet, an Andalusian migration centre where most of her family emigrated from Granada. She learned to speak and sing together with her grandmother Maria, with whom she hummed coplas, flamenco and boleros throughout her childhood. 1917 is the year of her grandmother’s birth and the name of her first EP, a 5-track project that tells the story of her roots. Her project mixes traditional flamenco with more urban sounds, connecting us simultaneously to the past, present and future.
Queralt Lahoz is an artist who defies convention with a voice capable of conveying the strength and delicacy of a proud and strong woman. A true entrepreneur, she wishes to take her project further and defend it with the strength she knows how to transmit through her music.
